Inderjeet Kesar, born on 09 Oct. 1946 at Katra. Married to Savitri Kesar and have two children. Worked at Civil Secretariat on various positions, retired as Deputy Secretary ( KAS Officer ) on Oct. 2004. Started writing in Dogri in 1967, have been publishing a book every year since 1998. Till 2020 have published 23 books and received Sahitya Akademi Award on Novel ‘Bhagirath’ in 2018.

Promila Manhas

Promila Manhas is known for her poignant style of writing. She has represented Dogri in many National Poetic Symposia. Apart from being a poet of repute she is a newscaster cum translator with Akashwani Jammu. Professionally, she is working with the Department of School Education of the UT of J&K as Lecturer in Botany.

Lalit Magotra

Born in Jammu (Year 1944), Prof. Lalit Magotra completed M.Sc. in Physics from Kashmir University and did his Ph.D. in Physics (High Energy Physics) from Jammu University in the year 1974. He is a prolific Dogri Writer and has seven books to his credit in Dogri and one in Hindi. He has received a State Award, and Best Book Award from J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. He has been conferred the coveted Sahitya Akademi Award for the year 2011 in Dogri. He has been the recipient of Senior Fellowship in Literature of the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.\r\n\r\nHe has currently leading Dogri Sanstha Jammu, a premier and most prestigious literary and cultural organization of the State as the President. In addition, he has been the convener of Dogri Language in Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi for two terms.

Shashi Pathania

Born in July, 1955, Prof. Shashi Pathania is an academically experienced individual with a doctorate in Dogri (Dogri Verb), serving through various positions (including H.O.D.) within the Department of Dogri (Jammu University) retired as Professor in Dogri. She started writing in Dogri in the year 1984 and has written prolifically in various genres of Dogri including short story and poetry and has been Co-guide a scholar at Ph.D. level for making Machine translation tool. She has been conferred Sahitya Akademi Translation Award for the year 2012 in Dogri.
